Fresh flowers for Ram Navami Pujan

Sri Rama Navami, the festival of Hindu’s has been celebrated throughout India since ages. This festival is the celebration of the Birth Day of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who was born for the destruction of the demon king Ravana.

I admired Lord Rama a lot for his principles and his true values, which he always implemented in his life. I always amazed by the fact that till now, on this auspicious day, devotees observe fasting, chanting Vedic mantras dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and offering fresh flowers and fruit to God. Temples of Rama are decorated with yellow flowers and red roses, as they considered sacred for special pujas, and religious discourses (Satsang).

Flowers always spread positive vibrations to the surroundings and that is the reason why they are believed to be the best way to delight god. During Ram Navami, every one no matter what religion he/she believes, love to decorate their worship place with fresh flower. From early in the morning till late at night, the devotional music and chants of Rama are played. It is believed that listening to the story of Rama cleanses the soul and what provide charm to the occasion in the ultimate fragrance of love and unite religion.
